ZURICH, Switzerland – MODEC has ordered six centrifugal compressor trains from MAN Energy Solutions for the FPSO for the Sangomar oil field offshore Senegal.
The order comprises one low pressure, three medium pressure and two high pressure compressor trains, all driven by fixed speed electric motors.
MAN will design, manufacture, and test the systems to be ready for installation, 100 km (62 mi) south of Dakar, in 4Q 2021.
They will help maintain field pressure and assist hydrocarbon production efficiency.
The FPSO, which will process up to 100,000 b/d of oil and 130 MMcf/d of gas, is due to start operations in 2023.
