Keppel Shipyard to overhaul FPSO topsides

Keppel Shipyard has won a S$100-million ($75-million) contract from a repeat customer covering fabrication and integration work on an FPSO.

SINGAPORE – Keppel Shipyard has won a S$100-million ($75-million) contract from a repeat customer covering fabrication and integration work on an FPSO.

The work scope, due to be completed by 4Q 2022, includes construction, installation and integration of topside modules, riser balconies and spread-mooring support structures, and assisting the client on pre-commissioning and commissioning work.

Keppel Shipyard will start pre-fabrication of the topside components early next year, ahead of the vessel’s arrival.

On completion, it will have the capacity to produce 220,000 b/d of oil, and to provide associated gas treatment of 400 MMcf/d.
