HOUSTON – ABS is collaborating with digital twin specialist Akselos to develop new digital services for offshore and maritime facilities.
Akselos’ patented technology is said to be capable of modeling objects of huge scale with high levels of fidelity, and to provide simulate in real time.
The numerical method used to create many current digital twins – finite element analysis (FEA) – is said to have limitations modeling large-scale assets for next generation digital services.
The partners plan to combine Akselos’ Reduced Basis FEA with ABS’ offshore and maritime experience to create new digital twin techniques that support improved asset performance.
