    Vestas providing wind turbines for North Sea Inch Cape project

    Inch Cape Offshore has asked Vestas to supply, install and commission 72 V236-15.0 MW wind turbines for the 1.1-GW Inch Cape wind development in the central UK North Sea.

    Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm, progressing toward full construction, will feature up to 72 turbines sited 15 km off the Angus Coast in the North Sea.

    Inch Cape Offshore has asked Vestas to supply, install and commission 72 V236-15.0 MW wind turbines for the 1.1-GW Inch Cape wind development in the central UK North Sea.

    The conditional order to supply the wind turbines was announced in early October. 

    Upon completion, Vestas will also enter a 10-year service agreement followed by an operational support arrangement.

    The Inch Cape project is 15 km from the coast of Angus, eastern Scotland. The turbine installation harbor will be based nearby in the Port of Dundee.

    First offshore installations should take place in 2026, with the wind farm set to be fully operational in 2027.

    Inch Cape Offshore is a 50:50 joint venture between ESB and Red Rock Renewables.
