Vestas has a conditional order to supply 72 V236-15 MW wind turbines to Inch Cape Offshore for the 1.1-GW Inch Cape wind farm in the central UK North Sea.

The development is 15 km from the coast of Angus, eastern Scotland. The installation harbor is at the Port of Dundee.

Vestas’ arrangement covers supply, installation and commissioning.

Inch Cape Offshore contracted Cadeler in June to install the 72 wind turbines. Installation is due to start in fourth-quarter 2026, using one of Cadeler's newbuild M-class jackup vessels, with the program set to take about 249 days.

Full operation of the wind farm is expected in 2027.

Inch Cape Offshore is a joint venture between ESB and Red Rock Renewables.
