Aker BP renews offshore Norway maintenance alliance with Aker Solutions

Aker BP has awarded Aker Solutions a two-year extension to a maintenance and modifications contract offshore Norway, which covers the Valhall & Hod, Ula & Tambar, Alvheim and Skarv field centers.
Ula, which is a hub for production of the Tambar, Oda and Blot fields, started as early as 1986 and is now in the late phase. Aker BP says it plans to produce from Ula until 2028 at the latest.

Aker BP says Valhall has produced more than 1 Bboe since the field was opened in 1982.
The contract is worth between NOK 0.5 billion and NOK 1.5 billion (US$44.6 million and $133.9 million).
This is a frame agreement under which the two companies work together through a joint maintenance and modifications alliance model. This now runs through December 2026.
According to Aker Solutions, the alliance’s work provides business locally in Mo i Rana, Sandnessjøen, Egersund, Stavanger and other offshore sites.
The company will also draw on engineering and project management support from Aker Solutions in Mumbai, India.
