Work advances on two hydrogen facilities powered by North Sea wind

Feb. 20, 2025
Wood will perform the FEED scope for the hydrogen production facility for the Zeevonk project, while TotalEnergies and Air Liquide plan to develop two projects that will deliver about 45,000 t/year of green hydrogen.

In addition, as part of Air Liquide's 200-MW ELYgator electrolyzer project in the Maasvlakte region of the Netherlands, TotalEnergies has signed a tolling agreement for 130 MW to be dedicated to producing 15,000 t/year of green hydrogen for the TotalEnergies platform in Antwerp.

Renewable energy electrons produced offshore by OranjeWind will be transformed into green hydrogen. The project, expected to be operational by the end of 2027, should cut CO2 emissions at the Antwerp location by up to 150,000 t annually.
