About six months ago, DNO’s wholly owned subsidiary DNO Norge AS entered into an agreement to acquire stakes in five oil and gas fields in the Norne area in the Norwegian Sea from Vår Energi. The acquisition closed in third-quarter 2024.
DNO International expects the partners in eight discoveries close to the Troll and Gjøa production hubs in the Norwegian North Sea to take FID on developing the Ofelia-Kyrre finds by the end of 2025.

About a month ago, DNO, the Norwegian oil and gas operator, announced completion of a second well delineating the play-opening 2023 Heisenberg oil and gas discovery in Norwegian North Sea's PL827SB.
Concept selection for other discoveries should occur around the same time, the company said in a results statement. Heisenberg, Røver Nord, Kveikje, Ofelia, Røver Sør, Carmen, Kyrre and Cuvette are all close to infrastructure, with clear routes toward commercialization, DNO added.
Elsewhere in the North Sea, DNO is drilling the Falstaff prospect and participating in another well on Ringand.
