Offtake agreement signed for North Sea Project Greensand

INEOS has signed an agreement to store up to 210,000 metric tons/year of CO2 emitted by Öresundskraft Kraft & Värme at the Project Greensand subsurface storage site.
Öresundskraft Kraft & Värme AB and INEOS, on behalf of Project Greensand, have signed an agreement to investigate the opportunity to store up to 210,000 tonnes of CO2 annually from Sweden in Denmark.
In Sweden, INEOS has signed an agreement to store up to 210,000 metric tons/year of CO2 emitted by Öresundskraft Kraft & Värme at the Project Greensand subsurface storage site in the Danish North Sea.
First volumes are set to be stored from 2028. INEOS is leading the development, in partnership with Harbour Energy and Nordsøfonden. Greensand will receive emitted CO2 industrial customers in various European countries.
INEOS has contracted Svanehøj to provide CO2 cargo pumps for the Project Greensand carbon capture and storage (CCS) development in the Danish North Sea.
