DUBAI, UAE – Kent will perform engineering work for Harbour’s V Net Zero (VNZ) CO2 transport and storage project onshore/offshore eastern England.
This will store CO2 from the Immingham SuperPlace in the heavily industrialized Humber region.
VNZ could store up to 11 MM metric tons (12.1 MM tons) of CO2 annually by 2030, and more than 12 MM metric tons/yr (13.2 MM tons) by 2034, at a subsurface depth of 9,000 ft (2,743 m) below the depleted gas fields in the Viking Area of the UK southern North Sea.
Kent’s scope includes process design, flow assurance, safety design, and structural engineering, for the V Net Zero pipeline systems and offshore infrastructure.
Pre-FEED engineering includes the repurposing of the LOGGS gas transportation pipeline.
