Karish offshore gas field connected to Israeli distribution system

LONDON – Energean has connected the Karish gas field in the eastern Mediterranean Sea to the Israel National Gas Line (INGL).
Once onstream, Karish will gas initially to Israel and eventually the wider East Med region.
The connection between Energean’s land-based system at Dor Beach, northern Israel and the INGL delivery system was effected through welding together two 30-in. diameter pipe sections.
Gas from Karish will flow to the Energean Power FPSO, 90 km offshore, for processing and separation. The treated gas will then head through a subsea pipeline to the land-based system at the Dor Station before entering the national pipeline.
