Trillion Energy International has ordered a gas-lift compressor system for the Akcakoka production platform in the Turkish sector of the Black Sea.
This should allow continuous gas-lift injection into certain wells at the SASB Field to sustain production.
Prior to deployment, the compressor will be tested on an onshore gas well, with modifications including installations of piping, cabling, an inverter and separator.
Testing should start early next week, followed by mobilization to the platform the following week. Trillion plans to start high-pressure nitrogen injection after the compressor is in place to stimulate production.
In addition, the company is considering several pump enhancements over the next few months to reduce water loading and optimize well performance. These include attaching one progressive cavity pump and two slim-hole electric submersible pumps to the new tubing.
