STAVANGER, Norway – Petrobras has declared Prosafe the winner of a bidding process for a four-year safety and maintenance support program offshore Brazil.
However, the award and timing of a contract remain subject to a formal process during which other bidders may appeal in the next few weeks.
If the award is confirmed (the estimated value is $110 million), Safe Notos would undertake the assignment from Q3/Q4 2022 following the expiry of its current contract that started in Q4 2016. Safe Notos is a DP3 semisubmersible safety and maintenance support vessel, capable of operating in harsh environments. It can accommodate up to 500 persons and is said to offer a large-capacity open deck area, with a telescopic gangway.
Prosafe says operations will focus on reducing emissions through energy performance monitoring and fuel consumption reduction measures.
