FSRU planned for LNG import terminal offshore South Australia

GasLog has entered a heads of agreement with Venice Energy concerning the supply of an FSRU for a new LNG import terminal project in South Australia.

ADELAIDE, Australia – LNG shipping specialist GasLog has entered a Heads of Agreement with Venice Energy concerning the supply of a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) for a new LNG import terminal project in South Australia.
Recently GasLog completed a merger with BlackRock’s Global Energy & Power Infrastructure Fund.
The company is involved in various other LNG import projects including offshore Greece in Alexandroupolis and in Panama. It also operates a fleet of 35 LNG vessels.
The agreement opens the way for an FSRU to be moored at Adelaide’s Outer Harbor as part of the LNG import operations, with GasLog providing a technical support crew to operate the facility over the life of the operations.
