Shell prolongs Wood support deal offshore Brunei

Brunei Shell Petroleum has extended Wood’s existing offshore services contract by a further two years to February 2026.

KUALA BELAIT, Brunei  Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) has extended Wood’s existing offshore services contract by a further two years to February 2026.

The arrangement covers BSP’s top 20 offshore installations, which collectively account for about 80% of its oil and gas production.

Estimated value of the extension is about $250 million. The scope going forward will include brownfield engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning services and management of BSP’s offshore marine fleet.

Wood’s Operations business unit will focus on maximizing the assets’ production capacity and minimizing associated emissions. This cost-reimbursable contract is delivered by Wood’s Operations business unit.

The company will employ about 1,500 personnel under the contract, 65% of based locally in Brunei, with support from its office in Manila, the Philippines.
