NEW DELHI, India—ONGC has made two discoveries in recent months offshore India, the company revealed in its latest results statement.
The GS-15-22 well, drilled in Vainateyam PML Block in the KG Basin offshore eastern India, flowed gas from three separate intervals within Pliocene Godavari clay.
In the same block, Kesanapalli West Deep-7 (KWD-7) flowed 183 cu. m/d of oil and 81,630 cu. m/d of gas from the Vadaparru Formation and already has been "monetized," ONGC said.
Among other highlights, the company signed a memorandum of understanding in September with Chevron New Ventures PTE to assess potential exploration opportunities in India.
