Iran holds multilateral talks on offshore Farzad gas development

TEHRAN, Iran – National Iranian Oil Co. (NIOC) is in three parallel discussions with various parties on developing the Farzad B gas field in the Persian Gulf, according to news service Shana.
An NIOC official involved, Karim Zobeidi, said negotiations are advancing withONGC Videsh and a Russian company for the 19-tcf field.
“Parallel with these two negotiations, NIOC is also in talks with Petropars as well as a foreign counsel on an appraisal project for developing Farzad A and B projects and injection of their fields’ gas to the Aghajari oilfield,” he added.
ONGC has been negotiating for development rights toFarzad B since 2009.
