OSLO, Norway – Pandion Energy has agreed to acquire Aker BP’s 30% interest in license PL 842 in the Norwegian Sea.
It covers blocks 6608/10, 11 and 12, east-northeast of the Norne field.
Cairn Energy subsidiary Capricorn operates the license, which was awarded under Norway’s 2015 APA round: Skagen44 is the other partner. An exploration well is due to be drilled this year.
Pandion Energy CEO Jan Christian Ellefsen said: “The license is located in a prolific part of the Norwegian continental shelf with multiple fields and discoveries and fits well with our strategy to invest in high quality exploration opportunities where we see an attractive risk-reward relationship.”
