TóRSHAVEN, Faroe Islands -- Dana Petroleum has decided not to participate in the Blackbird field development in the UK central North Sea.
Operator Nexen and its remaining partner Atlantic Petroleum will now develop the field in block 20/2a on a sole-risk basis, and assume Dana’s 12% equity.
The probable scheme will be a tieback to Nexen’s Ettrick FPSO, 6 km (3.7 mi) to the north.
