WEST PERTH, Australia – Talon Petroleum has completed its acquisition of UK North Sea independent EnCounter Oil.
The company now has 100% interests in exploration license 2363 containing the potential 107-MMbbl oil prospect Skymoos and license 2392 containing the potential 27-MMbbl Rocket prospect.
Talon has initiated a farm-out process to secure partners for drilling both these targets. In addition, the company is a partner to Corallian Energy which is making preparations for a well-site survey this summer ahead of the proposed Curlew-A appraisal well late in 2019.
Talon has applied for a further exploration license under the UK Oil and Gas Authority’s 31st Seaward Licensing Round, awards for which may be announced later this month.
