Brava Energia now expects the Papa-Terra oil field in the Campos Basin offshore Brazil to remain offline until early December.
Following a scheduled production stoppage, operations had resumed on Aug. 29 and stabilized at 15,000 bbl/d through six wells.
However, the company interrupted production on Sept. 4 following a request by Brazil’s ANP to provide clarification on the number of personnel onboard and maintenance activities.
Following the directive, Brava decided to advance inspection and maintenance of equipment that had been scheduled for the coming months. These systems are now in scheduled stoppage to maximize operational safety, the company added.
Brava Energia is the new name of the company formed from the merger between 3R Petroleum and Enauta, finalized earlier this year.
