bpTT starts gas production from Cypre subsea tieback

bp Trinidad and Tobago (bpTT) has delivered first gas from its Cypre development, 78 km offshore southeast Trinidad in the East Mayaro block, in 80 m water depth.

This is the company’s third subsea development, with seven wells tied back to bpTT’s Juniper platform. The first four wells were completed at the end of last year, with production from the Phase 2 wells due to start later this year.
At peak, Cypre should produce 250 MMcf/d.
Globally, this is bp’s second field startup of 2025 following Raven in the Mediterranean Sea offshore Egypt. The company plans to bring eight more large upstream projects online worldwide by 2027 with combined net peak production of 250,000 boe/d.
bpTT operates Cypre with a 70% interest, in partnership with Repsol (30%). In total bpTT operates 12 offshore platforms, three subsea installations and two onshore processing facilities.
