Production from the Golfinho license in the Espírito Basin offshore Brazil has been impacted recently by reduced gas-lift compressor uptime from the GLF-28 well, operator BW Energy said in an update.

However, the well is now back online following ROV intervention, with a program underway to improve reliability. During August, the company plans a 12-day shutdown on the FPSO Cidade de Vitória for compressor maintenance and other activities to improve production stability.

In the company’s Dussafu license offshore Gabon, the jackup Borr Norve has finished drilling the DHBSM-2H development well, which has since completed a conventional ESP system, the first on the license area.

The well should start producing shortly following hookup and testing.

Borr Norve, under its recently extended contract, will now drill a total of eight new production wells on the Hibiscus/Hibiscus South fields in the current campaign, and a probable well on the Bourdon prospect in 115 m of water, 7 km southeast of the BW Mabomo production platform and 14 km west of the BW Adolo FPSO.

Bourdon prospect could hold 83 MMbl in place and 29 MMbbl in the Gamba and Dentale formations, said Dussafu partner Panoro Energy.
