Mahmoudreza Haghighi, IOOC’s manager of operations at Lavan Operational Zone, told Shana news service the program involves replacing part of the burner’s pipeline due to the emergence of cracks as well as repairs to parts of the pipeline network and critical valves on the oil and gas production and water injection facilities.
As part of the work, the full contents of the pipe network are being emptied, with a series of washing, securing, cutting, disassembling, assembling, welding and grinding tasks taking place before platform and production operations can resume.
The repairs should take about a month to complete.
