JAKARTA, Indonesia — Petronas E&P Bobara has signed a production sharing contract (PSC) for the Bobara working area offshore West Papua, eastern Indonesia.
The company was awarded a 100% interest in the 8,444.49-sq-km concession in the third round of the Indonesia Petroleum Bid Round 2023.
Commitments during the first three years comprise three geological and geophysical studies, including acquisition and processing of 2,000 sq km of 3D seismic data.
Another Petronas subsidiary, PC Ketapang II (PCK2L), signed a PSC extension for the Ketapang contract area in the Java Sea until 2048.
PCK2L will continue to operate with a 77.6% interest, in partnership with PT. Saka Ketapang Perdana and PT. Petrogas Jatim Sampang Energi.
