Offshore staff
VANCOUVER, Canada – Drilling has started on the first of two planned infill wells on the Bertam field offshore Peninsular Malaysia.
OperatorIPC Malaysia is targeting resources of 2.3 MMboe, and expects drilling to finish in February. IPC has a 75% operated interest in the field, the remainder held by Petronas Carigali.
In addition, the partners have secured a further extension for Malaysian flagging of the Bertam FPSO until March 2018. Discussions continue on a more permanent solution.
