RIO DE JANEIRO – Petrobras has started production through a fourth FPSO on the Búzios field in the presalt Santos basin.
This is also the third new platform starting service for the company so far this year, with a fourth to follow later. Its location is roughly 200 km (124 mi) from the Rio de Janeiro state coast, in a water depth of 1,980 m (6,496 ft).
TheP-77 is designed to process up to 150,000 b/d of oil and to compress up to 6 MMcm/d of natural gas, delivered via nine interconnected producer wells and eight injectors.
Oil is offloaded to tankers, with the gas sent through by presalt gas line network.
