LONDON – Gross production from the Jubilee field offshore Ghana is steady at about 63,000 b/d, according to Tullow Oil.
Various wells are offline temporarily for acid stimulation activity. The combination of this program and new wells fromPhase 1A eventually should lift flow above 90,000 b/d, building to peak production in 2013.
To date, acid stimulations are complete on three Phase 1 wells, and this remedial technique will be implemented on three more Jubilee wells in 2012.
Phase 1A is progressing, with two producer wells and one injector well drilled so far.
Later this summer, Tullow and its partners expect to submit a plan for their next major field development in the area, the Tweneboa/Enyenra/Ntomme (TEN) project.
Elsewhere in the Deep Water Tano license, the Wawa-1 exploration well is expected to reach total depth this month. Further wells will follow on the Okure and Sapele prospects before the exploration license’s expiry date next January.
Offshore French Guiana, the drillshipStena DrillMax should start work shortly on the Shell-operated Zaedyus-2 appraisal well, one objective being to test a deeper turbidite fan. According to Tullow, the rig will then drill an exploratory well in the Cingulata fan system. This month, a 3D seismic program will be acquired on either side of the Cingulata fan system.
Offshore neighboring Suriname, a 3,000-sq km (1,158-sq mi) survey started in block 47 at the end of May.
