OSLO, Norway – DNO International says production from its fields in block 8 offshore Oman increased to 17,211 boe/d during 3Q 2014.
The company has reprocessed 3D seismic data over the West Bukha field and will use the results to evaluate new drilling targets or additional exploration opportunities.
DNO is applying its fractured carbonate reservoir experience from Kurdistan to refine and update the static and dynamic models for West Bukha.
TheSaleh-8 well offshore Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, continues to produce at low rates with ongoing pressure monitoring. Artificial lift studies have been completed on the part-depleted Wasia reservoir.
In the Sfax permit offshore Tunisia, a 1,000-sq km (386-sq mi) 3D seismic acquisition program is finished and the data is undergoing processing. The Jawhara-3 appraisal well, spudded in mid-October 4 km (2.5 mi) north of the Jawhara-1 oil discovery well, encountered a secondary Eocene target with indications of hydrocarbons.
This intermediate section has been logged and cased and drilling will resume to test three deeper secondary and primary Cretaceous and Turonian targets. DNO plans a second exploration well at Sfax during the first half of 2015.
