HOUSTON – Endeavour International says the first well (W1) on the Rochelle field in the UK North Sea is averaging production of 65-70 MMcf/d (1.8-2 MMcm/d) of gas and 2,500-3,000 boe/d of liquids.
The field came onstream in October as a subsea tieback to the Nexen-operated Scott platform. However, prolonged bad weather in the area has delayed startup of thefield’s second E2 well until the second week of January.
Skandi Achiever, the vessel performing final hook-up of the christmas tree to the East Rochelle manifold, is prepared to complete the installation as soon as the weather window opens.
Combined production from E2 and W1 wells will likely exceed the capacity limits allowed over the platform, Endeavour adds.
Endeavour has a 44% working interest in the Rochelle field, which is located in blocks 15/26b, 15/26c, and 15/27 in UK central North Sea.
