CALGARY, Canada – The 15-week dockside maintenance program for the Terra Nova FPSO, operating offshore Newfoundland, has been postponed until 2012, according to Suncor Energy.
The deferral should allow plans to resolve hydrogen sulfide issues to be implemented concurrently.
Terra Nova’s four-week annual maintenance outage should still go ahead this September 2011. During this period, Suncor's share of production, including output from a new well completed this month, likely will be reduced by around 20,000 b/d.
