Offshore staff
ABERDEEN, UK – Nexen has awarded Wood Group a new five-year contract in the UK North Sea valued at $150 million.
This is an extension of a program in place since April 2010, under whichWood Group PSN (WGPSN) provides operations, maintenance, and technical support to the Buzzard, Scott, and Golden Eagle platforms in the central UK sector.
The deal secures more than 190 jobs, and is the contractor’s third extension this year – the others were a two-year contract fromTAQA to support its five UK offshore assets, and from Chevron Upstream Europe covering four sets of offshore facilities.
