PERTH, Australia — Woodside Energy has reached an in-principle agreement with the Australian Workers’ and Electrical Trades unions and other bargaining representatives, preventing a stoppage on its North West Shelf offshore platforms.
The agreement concerns all claims relating to remuneration and other terms and conditions of employment. The next steps will be to finalize the enterprise agreement, a vote by employees, and approval by the Fair Work Commission.
According to Woodside, the unions have committed to not file a Notice of Protected Industrial Action while that process continues.
The accord should safeguard gas deliveries from the North West Shelf project to buyers in Western Australia and internationally.
