MDA starts up MDA gas field offshore Indonesia

HONG KONG  Production has started flowing from the MDA gas field, part of the 3M project offshore East Java, Indonesia.

The location is 75 km southeast of Madura Island in the Madura Strait, in 80 m water depth.

The project encompasses three gas fields with a total of nine production wells connected to an FPU, constructed in China, with a design capacity of 175 MMcf/d and treatment facilities.

One of MDA’s five wells are onstream, and the project should deliver about 127 MMcf/d.

Operator HCML is a joint venture partner between CNOOC Southeast Asia (40%), Cenovus Energy (40%) and Samudra (20%).
