LONDON  Following the signing of definitive documentation earlier this year, Navitas Petroleum has entered E&P in the offshore North Falkland Basin.

The company has taken a 65% operated stake in all of partner Rockhopper Exploration’s licenses across the basin, which include the proposed (phased) offshore Sea Lion development.

Harbour Energy decided to exit the basin after acquiring the previous operator, Premier Oil.

According to Rockhopper, Sea Lion could produce more than 120,000 bbl/d of oil, with substantial upside.
