HONG KONG – CNOOC has started production from the Lufeng oil fields regional development in the eastern South China Sea.
These include the Lufeng 14-4, 14-8, 15-1, and 22-1 oil fields, in water depths of 140-330 m (459-1,083 ft).
The main facilities comprise two drilling/production platforms and one subsea production system.
CNOOC plans 35 development wells (26 producers and nine water injectors), and is targeting peak production of around 46,000 b/d of crude in 2023.
