PARISIthaca Energy has awarded Bureau Veritas (BV) a three-year contract covering verification, certification, classification, environmental verification, and audit services for six UK North Sea production assets.

BV will deploy its digitalized BV Compliance software tool for remote verification, with a focus on reducing asset running costs via remote working opportunities. The tool is said to streamline planning, administration, project management, and reporting to provide a centralized live overview of safety, environmental, and critical elements.

The facilities comprise the Captain field wellhead protector platform/bridge linked platform and FPSO; the Alba North platform and a floating storage unit at the Alba field; a normally unmanned platform on the Erskine field; and the FPF1 semisubmersible floating platform serving the fields in the Greater Stella area.

BV had provided services for the Captain, Alba, and Erskine facilities for six years for the previous owners.

Work on the contract starts in January 2022, with options for a two-year extension.
