ABERDEEN, UK – Wood will work with Spirit Energy on late-life solutions for the Morecambe Bay gas fields in the East Irish Sea, off northwest England.
Under a five-year, $130-million consolidated services contract, Wood will apply its capability in late-life asset optimization and management to extend field life, cut costs, and decrease carbon intensity across the hub’s facilities both offshore and at the Barrow gas terminal on the Cumbrian coast.
The contract will employ around 130 people offshore, at the terminal, and in Aberdeen.
