Lukoil marks production milestone at two Caspian oil fields

Lukoil has produced more than 35 MM metric tons of oil at its Yury Korchagin and Vladimir Filanovsky fields in the northern Caspian Sea.

MOSCOW – Lukoil has produced more than 35 MM metric tons of oil at its Yury Korchagin and Vladimir Filanovsky fields in the northern Caspian Sea.
This year the company produced more than 7 MM metric tons of oil at the two fields. It drilled new production and side track wells.
It also started constructing infrastructure facilities at its third major Caspian project, Valery Grayfer. Estimated plateau level for the field is more than 1 MM metric tons of oil per year. In April, the company installed jackets for the accommodation block, and in August for the fixed ice-resistant platform. Shipyards in Astrakhan are constructing the topsides.
This summer, Lukoil drilled an exploration well at the Severo-Rakushechnaya prospect north of the Valery Grayfer field.
Exploration works are ongoing at the Khazri and Titonskaya prospects in the central Caspian.
