ABERDEEN, UK – Ithaca Energy has awarded Petrofac Facilities Management a five-year integrated services contract.
This covers engineering, construction, maintenance, and offshore manning provision on all Ithaca’s operated facilities in the UK North Sea.
At the same time, Ithaca has decided to assume the role of ‘duty holder’ and Safety Case responsibility for the semisubmersible floating production platform FPF-1 in block 30/6a, which serves fields in the Greater Stella Area (GSA).
According to Ithaca CEO Bill Dunnett, the collaboration between the two companies “is designed to realize economies of scale, maximizing the value and potential of our assets.”
Other fields under the arrangement are Alba, Captain and Erskine, all in the UK central North Sea.
