CALGARY, Canada – Production from the Liwan gas project offshore China has returned to full rates following an extended Chinese New Year break related to the COVID-19 virus.
Partner Husky Energy says development of the Liuhua 29-1 field at Liwan is progressing toward start-up by the end of 2020.
In the Madura Strait offshore Indonesia, output from the company’s BD project too has recovered to full rates following a planned maintenance program.
Offshore Newfoundland, production from the main White Rose field continues, Husky added, with enhanced workforce control measures in place to ensure safe operations on the SeaRose FPSO.
Suncor Energy is reviewing the planned drydock for the nearby Terra Nova FPSO with alternative options under consideration for completing maintenance work and asset-life extension activities. Husky has a 13% interest in Terra Nova.
