RIO DE JANEIRO – Petrobras says the Búzios field in the presalt Santos basin offshore Brazil has set a production record.
Earlier this week the field’s four FPSOs (P-74, P-75, P-76, and P-77) produced a total of 640,000 b/d of oil and 790,000 boe/d (including gas).
According to the company, Búzios, which it discovered in 2010 is the world’s largest deepwater oil field with a low lifting cost. Petrobras plans to bring onstream two more FPSOs on the field in 2022 and 2024.
