ALPHEN AAN DEN RIJN, the Netherlands – Frames has secured a three-year goods and services purchase contract with ONEgas - the combined business unit of Shell UK and Shell’s Dutch subsidiary Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij (NAM).

Currently NAM is converting various manned Dutch North Sea platforms to normally unmanned installations or removing functionality from existing platforms to cut maintenance costs.

Frames will be the preferred supplier for services and maintenance related to hydraulic systems on the platforms including pressure and leak tests, hydraulic power units, and wellhead control panels.

For the Shell/NAM maintenance contract, the company’s engineers will use the Walk to Work vessels the Kroonborg and Kasteelborg to reach the platforms, allowing them to stay on-site longer to complete their programs.
