HOUSTON – Production from the deepwater Tamar gas field offshore Israel passed the 2 tcf mark this summer, according to operator Noble Energy.
Runtime has consistently exceeded 99% ever since start-up, the company added.
Progress on the nearby Leviathan remains ahead of schedule and below budget, the current focus being on full hookup of the platform and living quarters and platform commissioning.
Noble anticipates first gas in December.
The company’s Aseng field offshore Equatorial Guinea also achieved a milestone in 3Q, producing its 100 millionth barrel of oil. Last month production started from the newly drilled Aseng 6P development well.
