RIO DE JANEIRO – Trident Energy has submitted the highest bid for the Pampo and Enchova poles in the Campos basin, which Petrobras has put up for sale under its rolling divestment process.

London-based Trident, which has production offshore Equatorial Guinea, offered around $1 billion for the producing fields, including firm and contingent payments.

The transaction is in the final stages of approval, Petrobras added, and the project’s subsequent phases will be disclosed to the market in accordance with its disinvestment methodology.
