HOUSTON-- J. Ray McDermott S.A. will construct, engineer, transport, and install two 38-in. (96.5-cm) diameter pipelines, totaling 130 km (81 miles) in length, and two 22-in. (56-cm) diameter interconnecting pipelines in Qatar's North field for Qatargas 3 and Qatargas 4.
The pipelines will connect three wellhead platforms, WHP7, WHP8, and WHP9, with the onshore facilities at Ras Laffan Industrial City.
The work includes laying 130 km (81 mi) of combined power and fiber optic cables connecting the wellhead platforms with the onshore facilities, as well as two 0.5 km (0.3 mi) 22-in. (56-cm) diameter intrafield pipelines.
The intrafield pipelines are to be fabricated from corrosion resistant alloy material.
