LONDON – Ikon Science Ltd. has released RokDok-Well Tie 1.0 designed to simplify the job of tying wells and seismic data.

The program, which can be stand-alone or a module of RokDoc, uses cascading workflows to illustrate the effects on a tie of any change in any part of the process, including wavelet estimation and sketch and squeeze log editing, says Ikon..

The workflow driven approach incorporates user help and guidance says Ikon. For example, unrealistic changes in interval velocity caused by attempts to stretch and squeeze data are highlighted automatically to ensure the user obeys the laws of physics. RokDoc-Well Tie is also available as a plugin to Schlumberger’s Petrel.
