Cerulean Winds says multiple offshore surveys were completed last year for its 3-GW+ UK floating offshore wind project.
GoBe and Gardline conducted geophysical and environmental investigations along the proposed cable corridor and turbine array area.
Geophysical surveys mapped the seabed topography to support cable routing and turbine placement. Underwater video, water and sediment sampling were designed to record habitats and species in the proposed development area for use in the environmental impact assessment (EIA).
Cerulean is progressing environmental engineering and consenting activities, and it aims to take FID in 2026. The company hopes to start commercial operations before 2030.
Government bodies, fisheries and environmental groups have provided input.
