TRONDHEIM, Norway –EMGS says a contract announced earlier this year for use of the EM Leader in the Asia/Pacific region has been cancelled because of delays in acquiring government permits.
"We have in partnership with the customer done our utmost to overcome the unprecedented permitting challenges we have encountered in this new country of operation for EMGS. However, we had no other choice but to cancel the project for reasons beyond our or the customer's control," said Roar Bekker, CEO of EMGS.
This does not affect a separate contract for a 3D electromagnetic data acquisitionproject offshore Brunei this coming October.
