PERTH, Australia – Benthic has completed geotechnical site investigation services at the Dorado oil field offshore Western Australia.
The work, commissioned by Dorado operator Santos, included geophysical and geotechnical surveys, with multiple cone penetration testing and borehole locations up to depths of 100 m (328 ft).
Benthic deployed its PROD2 seabed drilling and geotechnical testing system onboard the MMA Vigilant. The system is a portable, remotely operated drill that can switch between piston sampling and rotary coring.
